FLEXIGATE is designed to allow tipper operators to be more flexible in their range of work duties by combining the benefits of a typical top hinged tipper tailgate with a side opening ‘barn door’ tailgate, all in one easy to use unit.

The FLEXIGATE offers new levels of versatility to operators of tipper bodies. The specially designed tailgate utilises a unique fastening system which enables the operator to interchange between a standard top hinged ‘tipper’ tailgate and a fully opening to one side ‘barn door’.
This unique system has been designed and developed exclusively by Boweld and is now the subject of a patent application.
Four steps to change over – it couldn’t be easier!
- Fit locking pin in near side bottom hinge block
- Release winding handle and turn to activate bi-slide locking device
- Bi-slide locking device moves apart in 'P' hinge to unlock tailgate
- Swing tailgate fully around to near side and use fix bar to secure tailgate in fully open position
