Crane Tipper Conversion
With over 30 years experience in tipper design, Boweld have now introduced a unique concept universal subframe to suit most crane and chassis combinations.
The subframe provides a high strength yet weight saving solution to crane fitment, simplifying the crane installation, reducing cost and maximizing tipper payload. With the new subframe Boweld are able to offer the option of a front-end tipping mechanism (as normally preferred by tipper operators) while still being able to provide an underfloor hydraulic tipping hoist if required.

The subframe has been designed and developed to be completely universal and is pre holed to give the customer a choice of tipping gears whether that be underfloor, or Boweld’s all new front-end weight saving option.
This type of subframe is unique and has been specially developed and manufactured by Boweld, shaping, pre holing and forming the sub frame legs and anchoring plates and components from high strength high yield steel to 650mc. The unique ‘width adjustable’ cross members are also made from the same steel and, as recommended by truck manufacturers, the subframe and crossmembers are all bolt together to eliminate cracking and to allow the essential flexing that is experineced in use.
This construction makes for a low weight, high strength product. All the subframe components are fully galvanised to ensure a long lasting, totally maintenance free product. Field tested for over two years, the Boweld Crane Tipper Conversion sets new standards in quality and durability for tipper grab trucks.

Boweld’s unique sub frame design permits operators to choose between the underfloor mechanism normally required by grab tippers or the front end mechanism preferred by tipper operators. A choice of Front-end hydraulic tipping hoists are available.
Only Boweld offer this choice, the option of a front end hydraulic tipping hoist, typically providing the opportunity to save up to 40% of the cost of an underfloor mechanism. Front end mechanisms also permit the simple and cost effective fitting of high accuracy four cell onboard weighing systems.
